Earlier, she was a vacillating girl who was filled with all anger. She's has been changed into a submissive girl, and she is taking all the moments to look for her cousin. It is also felt that she has good feelings for Kevin Levin. Ben on the other hand has found love in Julie. Julie is an active girl who likes playing tennis, chili fries, and holds intense care for her pet. Her pet's name is Ship. Ship is an alien by name of Mechomorph, together found by Ben and Julie.

The anime television series has already made phenomenal success in the household entertainment industry in US and Canada. The best thing about this anime series is its picture quality and also the sound statistics. No doubt that it has the theme, the mission, and the reason to scale the success charts out there.

Getting sick of the same old TV shows? Well even though Ben 10 recently went of the air, this is the show for you! Ben 10 is a show about a family, where the brother Ben, of course, stumbles upon an alien pod in the woods while on vacation! Found inside is a watch like device witch happens to be called the, "Omnitrix". The Omnitrix attaches to Ben's wrist and the gives him the power to transform into an alien, but only for 10 minutes so that his DNA doesn't permanently become damaged! From his new gained powers, Ben realized that now has the responsibility to use his powers to do good. Thru his journeys with his family, a sister Gwen, and grandfather Max, they do battle with many aliens, looking too take the Omnitrix from them.

The one warlord alien Vilgax, is one of Bens main nemesis's! Vilgax tried to conquer the galaxy by stealing the Omnitrix, by sending his alien drones, and even he himself tried too take it! But Ben and his family succeeded in defeating Vilgax! Ben even had to fight Kevin! Someone who could absorb some of bens powers from being around the Omnitrix. Kevin even eventually banded together with an alien named "Ghostfreak" who escaped the Omnitrix and tried too possess Ben! But luckily Ghostfreak and Kevin where eventually defeated! Toward the end of the fourth season of Ben 10, Ben even had to defeat a resurrected Ghostfreak and Vilgax! Ben even had to stop someone named Doctor Vicktor from cloaking the world with his corrodium beam project!

And Ben did all of this only with the help of his family and the power of the Omnitrix! A device originally designed to show the many races of the universe about one another, made by Azmuth. But the Omnitrix was eventually used for war because of its inherited power. The Omnitrix, binds too your skin, and is very hard to get off! Though very mechanical looking, it is organic in the sense of how it fits the user, growing and changing. It binds the users DNA with the DNA of the 10 aliens inside! Ben only has limited use of the Omnitrix, because of his inexperience, but the aliens that are after it have a better understanding of it, and can use it to its optimum function. Changing from one alien to another just by thinking it!

So as you can see the Cartoon Network show, Ben 10 is a very appealing show too a wide variety of people.

You may even want too check out the two Ben 10 movies that where released. The first, "Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix", and the second, "Ben 10: Race Against Time". Both moves dive deeper into the origins of the Omnitrix and the life of Ben and his family after the original 4 season series.

Ben 10 Omnitrix Watches - The Differences Every Parent Needs to Know

Picture yourself excitedly ordering presents for your Ben 10 fan's birthday. You have a list of his hopes and dreams, one of which is the Ben 10 Omnitrix watch. You search online and find there are at least four different versions. Oh no, which one should you choose? Presumably your Ben 10 fan had one in mind but you want to get the best, most appropriate one right? So here's a little help ...

Alien Force Ultimate Omnitrix (4 Stars)

Looking just like Ben's brand new evolved Omnitrix from the new TV series, the Alien Force Ultimate Omnitrix features lights, cool sound effects and alien voices. Kids will love acting out action-packed alien games with their own real-life Omnitrix - the perfect roleplay accessory for boys! Attach the mini transparent figures from the 10cm Alien Collection Figures (sold separately) to the face of the watch to unlock the aliens' light and sound effects! The Omnitrix includes a cool transparent Swampfire figure to get the action started!

This Omnitrix from the new Ben 10 Alien Force range should have rocked our childrens' worlds. It will no doubt be a must have for any Ben 10 fan addicted to role play fun but it is not quite as good as it could have been. The accuracy to the watch in the new show is fantastic. You attach the mini translucent alien figures to the top of the watch to activate each alien. This reveals the alien's voice and name, like on the show, and is super cool. The strap is an improvement over that on the Omnitrix F/X but is not as good as on the Deluxe Omnitrix. It can be hard to get on until you get the hang of it and sometimes has trouble staying snapped shut.

To get more than the one free mini alien figure you need to buy the 10cm Alien Collection Figures. However, the full alien range is not yet available which may cause disappointment. The Ultimate Omnitrix does have lights and sounds without any alien figures attached but your Ben 10 fan is likely to want more than the one alien that comes with it ... you've been warned!

The Ultimate Omnitrix can be a little more glitchy than other Ben 10 toys. The face can be reluctant to stay completely down and the alien figures can get stuck after a few times of clicking onto the top of the watch. The alien figures can also be hard to put on and take off but it does hold up to rough play like the other toys in the range.

Overall this new Omnitrix is a good solid toy and will be money well spent to keep an avid Ben 10 fan's collection up to date.

Deluxe Omnitrix (5 Stars)

The Ben 10 Deluxe Omnitrix is packed with power: lights, sounds and a LCD screen featuring full screen aliens make this the most powerful Omnitrix in the collection. With each click of the dial another alien appears on the LCD screen. Be ready - when Vilgax attacks, your Ben 10 fan has just seconds to choose the correct alien for the job. It's a race against the timer to defeat evil and collect some bonus points!

Fantastic, entertaining and robust. It will send the imagination into overdrive. If you want to keep your Ben 10 fan busy using their imagination for play then this is the toy for you.

Build wise the quality is higher than that of its predecessor the Omnitrix F/X. The thick fabric strap fastens with velcro so is easy for a young child to put on and off. The main watch part is made of chunky plastic and comprises a black and white LCD screen. It can be quite large on the child's wrist and is larger than the F/X.

There are three playing modes. Battle mode sees Ben 10 running around until a villain approaches at which point the Omnitrix sounds an alarm to alert you. At the bottom of the screen you are then told which alien to choose and you are timed as you dial through the aliens until you find the correct one. When you hit the watch to select the winning alien you see them fighting the villain and then you find out if you won the battle. Normal mode allows you to select the alien by turning the dial and hitting the watch. You get to hear the Ben 10 sounds and are shown a few images of your chosen alien. Status mode shows statistics for battles won and lost and includes set up options such as sound.

For Ben 10 mad children under 5 years old the Deluxe Omnitrix presents a few obstacles. Battle mode is not suitable for children who cannot read yet as they will not know which alien they need to choose to fight the battle. Also moving between modes may take time for them to get used to as they are likely to get lost trying to get to where they want to be. But after a week or so for a persistent fan they will work it out.

For the older child more used to gaming consoles the play and the graphics may be a bit weak but for those children who love role play and want to imagine themselves as Ben 10 this is a must have piece of kit.

Omnitrix F/X (2 Stars)

The Omnitrix F/X provides a good role play experience with its flashing red and green lights and transformation sound effects taken directly from the TV series. Turn the dial to choose between the 10 aliens and see them in silhouette on the face of the Omnitrix which is backlit for an easier view.

The Omnitrix F/X is a great stimulus for the imagination. It is well made and withstands the usual dropping and wall bashing dished out by children. Although seemingly pricey for a plastic strap, turning dial and red and green lights, the daily use it is likely to get means you will see value for your money. The sounds are authentic and children seem excited about hitting the dial before they "transform". It is perhaps more suitable for Ben 10 mad children under 5 years old as there is no gaming for them to contend with. In fact it does little more than make noises, flash lights and display alien pictures on the dial so you would expect it to be a lot less expensive than the deluxe version but you will be sadly disappointed. Comfort wise the F/X is also lacking with its plastic strap which can be difficult for young ones to strap on and can be a little big for the smaller wrist.

Omnitrix Alien Viewer (1 Star)

The Omnitrix Alien Viewer allows you to view cool scenes from the TV series and watch Ben transform into different aliens by inserting one of the various disks available - three of which are included. Other disks are available with the 10cm Ben 10 Collectible Action Figures (sold separately). Each disk features 8 animation cells showing Ben's transformation into an alien. The viewing aperture is 1cm in diameter. It is true to scale for realistic role play.

The Omnitrix Alien Viewer could be a nice little addition to your child's Ben 10 toy collection. If he collects the 10cm Ben 10 Collectible Action Figures he will soon have a great collection of the disks that are included with these toys enabling him to watch Ben in more and more guises. But beware it is not just a smaller version of the other Omnitrix. It has no lights or sound and so to an excited child it seems to do nothing at all other than look like an Omnitrix when worn, although this alone does encourage imagination. Viewing the aliens is also not ideal as there is no back light. You need to point the viewer at a strong light source and get the angle just right to see anything and then the images are tiny. Changing the disks can be fiddly and the disk storage is limited. Knowing young boys keeping track of these small parts is not going to be their top priority. If the disks are lost the Omnitrix becomes pointless.

Conclusion

The choice is tough - the Alien Force Ultimate Omnitrix is more up to date to the current TV show and its aliens but the Deluxe Omnitrix offers some video game style play as well as the role play experience. Which you choose should probably be determined by the age of your Ben 10 fan.

Is Ben 10 a Collection of Stolen Ideas? - How About Borrowed? - You Be the Judge

This week is Ben 10 Week on Cartoon Network, which means they've been showing brand new episodes every night this week and it all culminating with the season finale Friday night. But, with all this fanfare I have to say something that needs to be said. Ladies and gentlemen of the court! I put it to you that Ben 10's true impetus came from, of all places, not a little boy-but a little girl! I will reveal to you my collection of circumstantial evidence. I only ask that you listen to my ideas about how Ben 10 was created-spreading joy to millions of kids and (and adults) around the world-and consider their merit. So WHY this reveal? Well, for several years now I've been sitting back hoping the TV show's creators, a mysterious group of men called "Man of Action," would step up and admit to the fans where they got the idea. But it has become clear as we now head towards the release of a second live-action film of the cartoon character Ben 10 that MOA is keeping MUM about where the character came from.

Follow along and allow me to share my theory. The first thing you need to know is that the group of guys called Man of Action are comic book writers. And in the world of comic books it's not uncommon to poach character looks, story ideas, etc.,. Well let's be honest; in EVERY field it's not uncommon to "borrow" ideas, but it's much easier to see when it happens in comic books because going back to the original source is just a matter of flipping through a few pages and spotting the incriminating evidence and yelling "Ah ha!" But with TV shows people tend not to notice it as much, unless both shows are on TV at the same time (Addams Family/Munsters). But in the case of Ben 10, the show creators (Duncan Rouleau, Joe Casey, Joe Kelly and Steven T. Seagle) went back 20 years for one idea to borrow and 30 years for another.

The character of Ben 10 I would say is primarily based on a obscure, minor DC comics character named Lori Morning. And when I say "obscure" I mean REALLY obscure. First of all you need to know who the Legion of Superheroes are. They are a group of teenaged super powered kids from all over the universe who fight crime on earth-in the 30th century. Got that? If it helps to digest this, just know that they come to the 20^th century and create a friendship with Superman as a boy (aka Superboy). And today the Legion isn't really as popular a series as it once was. Don't get me wrong, to comic book readers, they're considered both vital and historical-but to the general public they're not really on the radar. Although this season the Legion did make an appearance on the TV show Smallville in an episode written by a comic book writer.

But Lori Morning was a TEN year old GIRL who wore an athletic shirt with a number on it (like Ben 10). She accidentally made her way to the 31st century (a story line also featured in Ben 10 when he became Ben 10,000). And once she gets to the future she stumbles on a device called the Hero Dial. Guess what? The device allows her to turn into adult sized aliens. Guess what else? She fights crime in her transformed state. And guess what else? She can't control which alien she'll become. Now in print my argument might not look particularly strong. So I urge you to visit my little blog. I've taken the liberty to put a few side by side images and the case is made for itself. You'll need very little convincing once you see the aliens that Lori uses and then compare those to the ones Ben uses. The gender switch from girl to boy makes sense if you want to have a successful TV show, but they kept the female element by just giving Ben a cousin named Gwen; 2 birds with one stone.

I could go on and one about how Man of Action also went back 30 years to the TV show Shazam and commandeered the idea of a young boy who transformed into an adult superhero and spends the summer traveling around with a senior citizen in a Winnebago, but why don't you just look for a clip from YouTube about Shazam TV show. I actually have side by side images where you can see which concepts they used. And, as a fan of the Ben 10 shows, I'm glad they took a few ideas from characters I enjoy because ultimately they created a brand new thing that's entertaining to me and tons of people around the world.

The Omnitrix comes in many different versions so beware of the cheaper forms that are less playable. The two best Omnitrix watches are the Deluxe Omnitrix and the new Alien Force Ultimate Omnitrix. They are realistic to the cartoon series and are ideal for superhero role play.

The best value for money in action figures are the 10cm versions as they are poseable, well detailed and hard wearing but also cheap enough to buy a few. Ensure you are buying the 'right' alien though as your Ben 10 fan will undoubtedly have their favourites. Take advantage of multi figure packs to get your Ben 10 fan's collection started. The Creation Chamber figures also offer great creative play allowing children to mix things up and make new Ben 10 aliens.

If you don't mind shoot-em up games, the Ben 10 video games are great. They are fairly easy to play, challenging but not too much so. There's great sound and story line and you have to solve problems. The best bits for young Ben 10 fans are:

you start from where you run out of life so you don't have to go back to the beginning of a level.

6. Which is the worst Ben 10 Toy?

The playsets are typically expensive, cumbersome and have too many parts that get lost. Generally they also require you to buy the rest of the product range to use with it, so are often not worth the money. The adverts and the packaging are always very tempting but once the box is opened and the first play frenzy is over, disappointment sets in.

With the action figures you need to avoid the smallest and the largest. The Transforming Alien Rocks or figures from Planetary Powder sets are tiny, mono-coloured and badly detailed. At the other end of the scale, the 30cm Epic Alien Figures are not poseable and made of inferior quality plastic.

Ben 10 Watches - The Differences Every Parent Needs To Know

Your Ben 10 fan has been begging you for an Omnitrix watch for a while now and finally you give in. You sneak a moment when he's in bed to order one online. Oh no, your search brings up at least four different versions - which one should you choose? Presumably your Ben 10 fan had one in mind but you want to get the best, most appropriate one right? So here's a little help …

Alien Force Ultimate Omnitrix (4 Stars)

This Omnitrix from the new Ben 10 Alien Force range should have rocked our childrens' worlds. It will no doubt be a must have for any Ben 10 fan addicted to role play fun but it's not quite as good as it could have been. The accuracy to the watch in the new show is fantastic. You attach the mini translucent alien figures to the top of the watch to activate each alien. This reveals the alien's voice and name, like on the show, and is super cool. The strap is an improvement over that on the Omnitrix F/X but isn't as good as on the Deluxe Omnitrix. It can be hard to get on until you get the hang of it and sometimes has trouble staying snapped shut.

Overall this new Omnitrix is a good solid toy and will be money well spent to keep an avid Ben 10 fan's collection up to date.

Deluxe Omnitrix (5 Stars)

Fantastic, entertaining and robust. It will send the imagination into overdrive. If you want to keep your Ben 10 fan busy using their imagination for play then this is the toy for you. Build wise the quality is higher than that of its predecessor the Omnitrix F/X. The thick fabric strap fastens with velcro so is easy for a young child to put on and off. The main watch part is made of chunky plastic and comprises a black and white LCD screen. It can be quite large on the child's wrist and is larger than the F/X.

Omnitrix F/X (2 Stars)

Omnitrix Alien Viewer (1 Star)

Conclusion

The Deluxe Omnitrix is superior in comfort and diversity of play in that it incorporates some video game style play as well as role play fun. However the new Alien Force Ultimate Omnitrix matches the one worn by Ben in the new TV series and includes the latest alien heroes. Either choice will no doubt be a hit with your Ben 10 fan.

Ben 10 - The Boy Next Door

Ten year old Ben Tennyson is the main character of Cartoon Network’s much loved cartoon ‘Ben 10’. Ben is just a normal child who plays video games, rides his bike and occasionally gets into trouble. All that changes, however, when he discovers a mysterious watch-like device called the Omnitrix. This super powered gadget gives Ben extraordinary abilities which allow him to transform into different alien heroes.

Like other comic book protagonists, Ben decides to use his power for the forces of good, however, as a 10 year old boy he still likes to dabble in the occasional bout of superhero mischief. Ben’s main appeal lies in the fact that he is similar to his audience in terms of age, interests and appearance. Children all over the country see Ben Tennyson and imagine that they too can be that superboy, fighting evil and saving the planet.

Each show involves Ben fighting against various evil forces. With his Omnitrix in hand, Ben can choose a particular alien silhouette by twisting the face of the Omitrix. By pushing the face down Ben transforms into the alien with its own unique superpowers. For smashing and demolishing things Ben chooses ‘Four Arms’, to produce acrobatic moves he chooses ‘Stinkfly’, for a boost in intelligence he opts for ‘Grey Matter’, and when fire is needed ‘Heat Blast’ is the alien of choice. With so many alien forms to choose from there are a number of exciting ways Ben can choose to defeat the enemy. The challenge arises however when the Omnitrix malfunctions and Ben transforms into an alien which is less than suitable for the task at hand. The unpredictable nature of the Omnitrix makes for a more interesting battle between good and evil and adds a down to earth dimension to this other worldly device.

The villains in ‘Ben 10’ are also interesting in that they are both alien and human. One of the main characters from the first series is a vicious, intergalactic ruler called Vilgax who is unstoppable in his quest for the Omnitrix. Another enemy is Kevin 11, a rebellious sociopath who can absorb Ben’s powers. This human enemy offers another aspect which little boys can relate to. Kevin 11 could be their school bully and is therefore an enjoyable target for the audience to hate.
The role of the family is paramount in ‘Ben 10’ thanks to the characters of Grandpa Max and cousin Gwen. Grandpa Max supports Ben when he gains his superpowers and his army training helps to get them out of various scrapes. Gwen on the other hand is a cautious girl who looks at the consequences of Ben’s actions. Her character adds a female presence to the cartoon as she helps to reflect Ben’s reactionary nature through her careful assured advice. Whether Gwen likes it or not Ben shows what little boys would do if they were super heroes, and that is the ultimate charm of this popular cartoon.
